Another Christian argument put forth to keep Yahavah’s children from returning to His holy Covenant Laws, is the claim that we are now under the New Covenant, and therefore the Old Covenant Laws no longer apply to us. Yet again we find ourselves confronted with part truth mixed with falsehoods to deceive us into remaining within satan’s rebellion against the Laws of Yahavah.
The truth part is that there definitely is a New Covenant! However, there are two provable falsehoods mixed in with that truth. The first false narrative is that we are now under the New Covenant. The second false narrative is that the New Covenant does away with the obligation to follow the laws of the Old Covenant.
We will begin with the false narrative that we are now under the New Covenant. The truth of the matter is that we do not enter into the New covenant until ‘AFTER’ the return of Yahavah.
Matthew 26:28. (Yashava)
28. “For this is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”
The first thing we notice in this verse is that Yashava directly said that His blood is shed for ‘MANY’ for the remission of sins. Many is a far cry short of for the whole world as christianity claims! The whole world is given the opportunity of salvation but Yashava’s blood was only shed to cover the sins of those who turn back to following the will of the Father.
Many Christians refer to Matthew 26:28 to show that we are now under the New Covenant. However, they miraculously exclude seeing the very next verse!
Matthew 26:29. (Yashava)
29. “But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.”
This verse states that He will not partake of that vine until that day that He drinks it with us in His father’s Kingdom. That Kingdom is restored in the physical realm ‘AFTER’ He returns from the spiritual realm at the end of this age. So, just what does the New Covenant consist of?
Jeremiah 31:31-33. (Yahavah)
31. “Behold, the day come, saith the Yahavah, that I will make a New Covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
32. Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was a husband unto them, saith the Yahavah:
33. But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel: after those days, saith the Yahavah, I will plant my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and I will be their God and they shall be my people.”
If the reader will notice, Yahavah makes the New Covenant ‘after’ those days. What days? After the great tribulation that brings the end of this age to a conclusion! Then in verse thirty-four, He tells us what will not happen after He makes the New Covenant with us.
34. “And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying know the Lord: For they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: For I will forgive their iniquity, and remember their sin no more.”
Has everyone stopped teaching each other about Yahavah? Does everyone from the least to the greatest know Yahavah? Are His commandments written in everyone’s inward parts and heart so they never forget them? Are we living after those days? The obvious correct answer for each and everyone of those questions is an emphatic NO! That means we cannot be under the New Covenant at this time, and claiming we are is calling the direct word of Yahavah a lie! The New Covenant begins ‘after’ Yahavah’s return, and right before or during the time He allows His children into the promised land.
Ezekiel 11:16,17. (Yahavah)
16. “Therefore say, Thus saith the Yahavah God; although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary where they shall come.
17. Therefore say, Thus saith the Yahavah God; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.”
In verse sixteen, Yahavah is acknowledging that He scattered the people of Israel among the nations (past Tense), and He promises to gather them (all twelve tribes) again sometime in the future, and return them back to the promised land of their inheritance. Yahavah promised the land of Israel to the twelve tribes of Israel as an eternal inheritance, and He will assuredly keep His promise! Then in verses nineteen and twenty, Yahavah promises to fulfill the conditions of the New Covenant at that time.
Ezekiel 11:19,20. (Yahavah)
19. “And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh:
20. That they may walk in my statutes, and keep my Ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.”
The New Covenant begins as the time for repentance comes to an end. At that time there are no more pardons and the guilty are judged. Only those who received a new heart and a new Spirit so that they will never ever sin again will be saved. That is the real ‘born again’ experience that Yashava was referring to! Not the Christian false fantasy of proclaiming the born again status, while still stumbling around in sin and rejecting Yahavah’s holy covenant Laws.
Next we will deal with the falsehood claim that the New Covenant does away with our obligation to follow the laws of the Old Covenant. The scripture we have already presented in Ezekiel 11:19,20 confirms that once the New Covenant is enforced, then we will never again forget or violate the laws of the Old Covenant. This means that the New Covenant maintains and completely enforces the Old Covenant Laws, not by-pass them.
Even when Yashava gathers His children that He scattered among the heathens, many will not submit to the Laws of His government, and He will sort them out.
Ezekiel 20:37,38. (Yahavah)
37. “And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the Covenant!
38. And I will purge out from you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the Yahavah.
When Yahavah purges out the stiff necked stubborn rebels that refuse to submit to His government, where do they go? He has removed them from the country where they sojourned, and He will not allow them into the promised land, what is left?
Revelation 20:15. (Yashava)
18. “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the Lake of fire.”
